Enhanced Home Care was founded in 2009 by local residents, and brother and sister team, Randy Block and Cindy Singer. Randy and Cindy created Enhanced Home Care to help strengthen and fortify the way that those in the community who require in-home care and assistance are served and supported with improved and responsible solutions. As self-described “people persons” and degreed professionals with diverse backgrounds in health care and business, Randy and Cindy were inspired to create a home care agency that not only provided premier services, but also one that valued truly connecting with and supporting each client. In 2015, Enhanced Home Care was honored to be named Small Business of the Year by the Kansas Small Business Development Center.
Our mission is to provide exceptional service and expertise to the older adults, families, and community we serve through highly personalized, attentive, reliable, and enhanced in-home care and support.
As our Executive Director, Jill enjoys applying her business acumen to this caring industry. Jill has an abundance of experience in home health care billing, and she oversaw a team of 12 who were responsible for $50M annually in home healthcare & IV therapy payer specific & electronic billing, including Medicare Part B, Medicaid, & large insurance companies. Jill believes that accurate billing & payroll, A/R follow-up & well-organized in-house systems support strong operations and she is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Mina Njau-Tubei joined Enhanced Home Care as Care Manager in February 2016. As a skilled CNA with several years of experience as a Team Leader and a Home Coach, she is responsible for training, staffing and assessing client needs. She has an associate's degree in Applied Sciences from Kansas City Kansas Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Organization Leadership. As a dedicated care provider, Mina hopes that the experience she brings to Enhanced Home Care will benefit everyone in understanding both client and caregiver needs.
Ensuring that each and every one of our home care clients has the right caregiver at the right time is a vital part of our business, and no one knows that better than our Scheduling Manager, Audry Wise. Audry brings a wealth of management and business experience to the Enhanced Home Care team, as well as a business degree from Kansas City Business College. Audry was drawn to Enhanced Home Care because of her drive to make a difference and to give back to seniors.
With a B.A. in Communications from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Stacey has a background in client relationship management and exceptional communication skills that allow her to assess and understand the needs of our Enhanced Home Care clients and caregivers. Stacey is excited to be working in the home care industry as it provides the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Advanced Caregiver Training and Certification
When it comes to hiring and training caregivers Kansas City families can trust, our standards couldn’t be higher. At Enhanced Home Care, we take proactive steps to ensure our team is extensively trained and certified, so they feel confident in their roles and provide the highest quality at home senior care. While most home care agencies provide an average of 10 hours of general training, we provide over 120 hours of highly specialized in home caregiver training.
To fulfill this commitment, we have partnered with the Institute for Professional Care Education, a nationally renowned training and certification agency for caregiving professionals, to offer custom training programs to all of our caregivers.
Our custom program provides three levels of training for our care staff:
- Level 1, “Certified Caregiver”, incorporates a variety of caregiver training tools to ensure skills stay sharp.
- Level 2, “Specialized Caregiver”, incorporates training in Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and end of life care.
- Level 3, “Master Caregiver”, incorporates training in Parkinson’s disease, first aid, leadership, and more.
